How to play

Pick how far your tables go — up to the 5, 10, 12 or 20 times table — or tap Choose to drill just the tables you want, such as the 7s on their own or the 6s, 7s and 8s together. Then pick a time limit. Then answer each multiplication by typing the answer; a correct answer advances automatically, so you never break your rhythm. Your score is how many facts you get right before time runs out. Tap Skip to pass one you're unsure of.

Why times tables still matter

Instant recall of the multiplication facts is the single biggest lever for confident mental arithmetic. When 7 × 8 = 56 comes without thinking, your mind is free to handle the harder parts of a calculation — the carrying, the estimating, the division. Fluency here pays off everywhere else, which is why these facts are worth over-learning until they're automatic. Once your tables feel solid, stretch the same recall across addition and subtraction with Number Bonds, or mix all four operations in the Mental Math Sprint.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Times Tables game free?

Yes, completely free with no sign-up. It runs in your browser and your best score is saved on your device.

Which tables does it cover?

You can drill up to the 5, 10, 12 or 20 times table, or tap Choose and pick any mix of the 1 to 12 times tables, multiplied up to 10 or up to 12. Every fact in your set comes up once before any repeats.

Can I use it with a class?

Yes. Set the tables and time limit, then tap "Copy link with these settings" and share the link: every student who opens it gets the same settings, with no accounts or sign-up. The result card shows the settings and the time of the round, so students can show you their score. On a projector, use Full screen for a whole-class warm-up.

Is this good for kids?

Yes. It's a friendly, pressure-free way for children (and adults) to build fast, accurate recall of the multiplication facts. Start with "Up to 5" and a longer time limit.

Does it work on a tablet or phone?

Yes. Use the on-screen number pad on a touchscreen, or a keyboard on a computer.
